The NHS is taking bold steps to transform how it manages public health, workforce productivity, and clinical training conditions. In a landmark development this July, Health Secretary Wes Streeting unveiled a pilot scheme that will shift the way GPs issue sick notes.

Instead of automatically signing people off work, doctors will now be encouraged to explore fitness-for-work options such as referrals to exercise programs or job coaching. Streeting noted, We simply can't afford to keep writing people off.

NHS Calls for Private Investment
